Trim clips hold door cards, pillar trims, kick panels, body mouldings and side strips. Interior clips push into the body and the trim panel clips onto them. Exterior moulding clips often have a foam or rubber washer under the head to stop water getting into the hole. This range covers both, listed by make.
Door cards and pillar trims usually use push-in clips with a collar that sits in a slot on the back of the panel. When you refit the trim, check which clips stayed in the body and which stayed on the panel. See refitting a door trim panel.
Body side mouldings, window mouldings and garnish strips use clips shaped for that strip. Matching the shape matters more than colour. For grilles and badges, see grille and garnish clips. For side skirts, see sill and rocker panel clips.
Compare the photo and the sizes with your old clip. Our guides how to measure a car clip and finding clips for your car make help you narrow it down.
On our site, trim clips are the shaped clips for panels and mouldings. Trim retainers are mostly wide-head push clips for linings and insulation.
Often. A missing or loose clip lets the panel move. Replace the broken ones and check the panel edge is not cracked.
